Financial Analyst (two year position) - accepting applications September 2008

PCE Investment Bankers is seeking candidates to apply for Financial Analyst positions to support our firm’s continued growth.  We offer a traditional two year opportunity for candidates. The typical candidate is an undergraduate with limited work experience but high potential.  Successful candidates will have a minimum Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.  We prefer candidates with a broad educational experience, and therefore, a finance undergraduate degree is not required. However, finance classes or an understanding of financial statements are required, as is proficiency is Microsoft Excel and Word..  We do consider candidates with an MBA or similar degree for this position if the MBA candidate has limited work experience.  Most candidates for this position plan to return to college for a graduate degree in business or law, and will benefit from the higher levels of responsibility and direct contact with our firm’s senior bankers when applying for the graduate degree.

Our financial analysts work in all disciplines of the company. The analysts spend concentrated time in Investment Banking (M&A and Corporate Finance) and the Valuation groups. Our analysts work closely with senior executives of the firm and are considered integral to the completion of our client engagements. Successful analysts will provide meaningful contributions to the delivery of our services and exceeding the expectations of our clients.

Analysts may work in teams or alone, and work on multiple projects at any given time. Typical responsibilities are research, analysis and presentation materials related to customer development and client engagements. Additionally, analysts assess companies' financial and operational performance, build financial models to depict a company's historical and future results, and present conclusions and write offering memorandums to describe a company's strategy and growth prospects.
