PCE seeks a dynamic individual to join our valuation team. As an Associate, you will help clients, ranging from early-stage start-up companies to large multinational corporations, solve complex business valuation issues. We seek a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with senior leadership and analyst, while providing excellent client service.
Description
As an Associate in our valuation practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects and interact with high-level executives across multiple industries, performing various tasks, including
- Manage, plan, execute and deliver business and intangible asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, ESOPs, restructuring and reorganization, and management planning purposes
- Assist colleagues in managing client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectively
- Manage, lead, and assist in the development of valuation colleagues
- Manage due diligence, document assembly, and finalization of working papers that support valuations
- Proactively and effectively contribute to the marketing and business development efforts
- Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a collaborative style. Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at one time
- The ideal candidate will be able to develop models to value a variety of valuation projects and complex financial instruments, such as equity securities, convertible debt instruments, derivatives, and contingent liabilities across a wide range of industries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of three years of business valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firm
- CPA, CFA, and/or valuation credential such as ASA, CVA, ABV is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in fair value measurements for financial reporting purposes (e.g., ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 718), or fair market value measurements for tax compliance, ESOPs, or other related services
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skills.
Investment Banking Analyst Program (3-Year)
Start Date: January to June 2026. We are flexible.
PCE is excited to welcome applications for our three-year Investment Banking Analyst Program, designed primarily for graduating seniors but also open to candidates with limited professional experience. This structured program provides comprehensive training, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to live transactions from the start.
Program Overview
- Six-Week Analyst Boot Camp: An intensive onboarding program designed to familiarize you with PCE’s processes, sharpen technical skills, and provide study time to prepare for FINRA licensing exams.
- Licensing Requirement: Analysts must obtain the FINRA SIE and Series 79 licenses early in the program to maintain employment.
- Three-Year Program: Analysts gain increasing responsibility throughout the program, working closely with senior bankers while being exposed to all phases of the deal cycle.
- Professional Development: Ongoing training, mentorship, and sponsorship for continuing education (including the CFA) to support your long-term career growth.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly on M&A, capital raises, ESOPs, and valuations
- Build financial models, forecasts, and analyze financial statements
- Research industries, companies, and deal comps
- Develop presentations and manage data rooms
- Interact with clients and contribute across the full deal cycle
- Training & Development: Hands-on modeling, presentations, and exposure to real transactions
- Mentorship: Daily collaboration with Associates, VPs, and Managing Directors
- Certifications: Sponsorship for additional continuing education (e.g., CFA)
